DaysAgo

I saw this at the ABC Kids Expo and I’ve been meaning to post about it for some time. It was showcased in the new products sections and it’s won all kinds of awards. The DaysAgo Digital Day Counter is an attachment made to fit all kinds of household products, including baby food in jars, freshly prepared food, expressed milk, mixed baby formula, and stored leftovers. It digitally records the number of days since the item was last opened. So you don’t have to guess how long ago it half-eaten jar of baby food was opened.
Their reviews have been great and you can read them on their website, as well as find info on where to buy.

Stokke Tripp Trapp Chair

20170 Mid R

The chair that grows with your child!

With the Tripp Trapp® chair, Stokke builds upon the amazing, international award-winning success of their KinderZeat® by adding a super-safe 5-point harness and an optional Baby Rail, both of which allow your child to start using the chair as early as they’re able to sit up unassisted!

Incredibly stable, sturdy and stylish, this revolutionary children’s chair lifts little ones up to table-level so they can be included in more family activities. The ergonomically-correct design also makes it an excellent chair for kids to use while working at the computer or playing video games.

The fully adjustable seat and footrest allow the Tripp Trapp to grow with your child from tot to teen and all points between. In fact, the seat and footrest hold up to 300 pounds, so even adults can sit in it!

But one of the best things about this chair is that kids actually enjoy sitting in it! Unlike highchairs, which restrict kids’ movement, and uncomfortable “big person” chairs that give them no “floor” for their feet to rest on, the Tripp Trapp offers more freedom, a larger variation of movement, better circulation and a secure footrest.

Peg Perego Aria

Peg Perego Aria

*½

$199.99

This was one of the biggest expenditures my wife and I made, right off the bat. We looked and compared to the Graco series of strollers and decided to purchase a Snug Ride car seat with the Aria for a stroller. Our motivation for purchasing: it was very light and easy to unfold. These two positives become completely overshadowed once you try to actually use the stroller.

First, the infant car seat was a pain to snap in. Second, this ended up being the hardest stroller to control when pushing. You have to keep both hands or the stroller takes a hard right or left when the wheels are not locked forward (which then necessitates both hands on the wheel to turn by leaning the stroller back). Long story short, save the money here as you will need it when you buy the convertible car seat. Don’t spend the $200 on this when you can get a Graco Quattro Tour for around $130 that works great. You’ll eventually be in a jogger and an umbrella stroller for about $20 that you will use for a much longer time.
