Without a doubt, one of the biggest lifesavers you’ll find…Dr. Brown’s Bottles. We tried Playtex, Avent, and a host of others until we got this starter kit as a gift from a friend. This is a must have! I don’t know all the science behind this and I have put that in the individual post when you click more but all you need to know is that your baby will swallow less air which cuts down on spit ups, which means you feed your baby less (don’t have to re-feed after they spit up everything) and your schedule stays much more predictable. These are the bottles to get.
What a great way to get started on the benefits of Dr. Brown’s products…for less! All Dr. Brown’s Natural Flow® Baby Bottles share the benefits of the patented internal vent which reduces colic, gas, spit-up, nipple collapse and more!

According to Dr. Brown, “When babies feed they suck milk or formula from the bottle through the nipple. As the liquid leaves the bottle, air enters in through the vent to take the place of the milk or formula. Our patented internal vent allows the air to enter and directs it to the area above the liquid, keeping the air and the liquid seperate. Because there is no vacuum to inhibit the flow of liquid, babies can feed at their own pace.” The handy formula level gauge is represented in both ounces and milimeters for accuracy. Dr.Brown’s Bottles are non-disposable and dishwasher safe which means there’s no need to buy expensive liners. Compatible with breast feeding and breast pumps.
Starter Kit contains: two 8oz baby bottles w/ level one nipples, one 4oz baby bottle with level one nipple, three nipple collars, covers & travel discs, 3 two-piece snap together assemblies, 2 level two silicone replacement nipples & cleaning brush.

$199.99
This was one of the biggest expenditures my wife and I made, right off the bat. We looked and compared to the Graco series of strollers and decided to purchase a Snug Ride car seat with the Aria for a stroller. Our motivation for purchasing: it was very light and easy to unfold. These two positives become completely overshadowed once you try to actually use the stroller.

First, the infant car seat was a pain to snap in. Second, this ended up being the hardest stroller to control when pushing. You have to keep both hands or the stroller takes a hard right or left when the wheels are not locked forward (which then necessitates both hands on the wheel to turn by leaning the stroller back). Long story short, save the money here as you will need it when you buy the convertible car seat. Don’t spend the $200 on this when you can get a Graco Quattro Tour for around $130 that works great. You’ll eventually be in a jogger and an umbrella stroller for about $20 that you will use for a much longer time.
